Fostering the Family is a faith-based organization dedicated to helping churches fulfill their calling to care for orphans and widows. They partner with churches to create foster care ministries by providing practical tools, training, and resources.
Their mission is to raise awareness and rally communities around foster and adoptive families, offering real support like meals, childcare, training, and a strong sense of community. They also help churches connect families with mentors and build networks of care to ensure no family has to walk this journey alone.
On a personal note, we’ve had the privilege of serving alongside this incredible organization over the years. While our family has been fortunate to have a strong support system of family and friends, Fostering the Family exists to support the countless foster families who don’t have the same help. Sadly, nearly 50% of foster families quit each year, primarily due to a lack of support. Fostering the Family is changing that by stepping into the gap and providing the care these families need to thrive.
